baby quilt

I finished a baby quilt for a great niece. The colors refuse to show true though. The blues are actually lavender and the background is lighter than it shows.

I'm kind of leaning towards the peach for the border and binding. I think the yellow seems too bright and the lavender blends in too much.

Loblolly

This area has gotten over 4 inches of rain over the last three days. Which really isn't all that much but there's only about 8 to 12 inches of clay over calichee. Right now my car is stuck just off the road. We had hubby's truck stuck and the neighbor came down and pulled him onto the road. We'll get my car out tomorrow or the next day after the rain soaks in a bit and the ground firms up a bit.

A load of gravel has suddenly leaped to the top of the "must have" list. Hopefully it'll dry out at least until we can get it.
